Kelly Perry, LCSW

Thank you for taking a look at my website. If you have a history of trauma, have experienced a longstanding difficulty feeling connected to yourself or others, or are struggling with grief, I can offer support. I have over 20 years of clinical experience as a mental health therapist. Prior to my clinical training, I worked in the mental health field with a bachelor’s in social work for a total of 27 years overall in the social services field. I’ve helped people with a variety of difficulties during this time. I have extensive experience and training geared towards the treatment of trauma. I have a passion for working with people who are grieving and have a good deal of experience assisting people who have experienced traumatic loss. I worked with combat veterans for many years, as well as those who have experienced childhood or attachment trauma. Throughout my career, I’ve attended specialized training for the treatment of trauma. I am EMDR certified by EMDRIA, IFS level one trained by the IFS Institute, and a NARM ® Master Therapist trained by the Complex Trauma Training Center. I use the Polyvagal Theory as the basis for all the work that I do. For more information on these therapy modalities, see the therapies offered page, where I have included brief descriptions and added videos. I provide both telehealth and in person therapy from my office located in a small town in Maine. As a resident of Maine, I enjoy nature and simplicity as regulating resources. I am a Middle-aged woman and mother to two teen boys. We enjoy camping in the Maine woods and telling stories by the firepit with smores. I live well with ADHD. and can also offer a great deal of support to those who share this pattern. I am currently providing polyvagal training as a senior trainer on behalf of Deb Dana, LCSW. I also serve as the clinical consultant to the Center for grieving children at their Sanford, Maine location.
